SMALL PET HOMES
Rabbit Nesting Boxes and Duck Houses
Handmade nesting boxes with safety guards and duck houses, built in Tignall, Georgia and sold through dealers or direct.
Chapter 01
Rabbits and ducks need a different kind of house
A dog house is built around a big animal that walks in and turns around. Rabbits and ducks ask for something else. A rabbit wants a low, sheltered, quiet spot where a doe can settle and a litter can stay out of the weather. A duck wants a dry place to sleep that doesn't turn to mud the minute the pond comes in with her.
That changes the build. The doors are smaller. The roof has to be right over the animal, with no room for the wind to get a running start. And the floor takes more punishment than you'd guess, because small animals are hard on the one surface they live on all day.

Nesting boxes with safety guards, and houses for ducks
We make rabbit nesting boxes with safety guards, and they're now available from the Tignall shop. If you want to know exactly how a guard is set on the box you're looking at, call the shop and ask Barry. He'll tell you straight.
We make duck houses as well. The family pattern behind our dog houses is T1-11 siding, an Advantex floor and a shingled roof, and that pattern is where we start for the little houses too. Ask about the exact build of any small-pet house when you call, because sizes and details can vary with the animal.
A small house is still a house. Outdoors in Georgia it sees summer heat, hard rain and the occasional cold snap, so it should be put together like one, and that's the standard we hold the little ones to.

Ordering through a dealer or straight from the shop
Most of what we build sells through our 37 dealers across Georgia and the Carolinas. If a feed store near you carries our houses, that's the easy way to see one in person and carry it home. The dealer list is on the dealers page, and a call to (706) 372-6294 will tell you which store is closest.
You can also order direct from Barry. Direct custom orders take PayPal and Zelle, and the shop is in Tignall at 6139 Elberton Rd if you'd like to set an appointment and look around. Tell us what you keep, how many, and where the house will sit, and we'll work out what fits.
Sold through 37 dealers across Georgia and the Carolinas, or direct from the shop. Call Barry at (706) 372-6294.
